Pomegranate Arts is honored to continue our collaboration with Goran Bregovic - the Sarajevo-born musical icon of the Balkans. Best known in North America for his compositions written for the films of director Emir Kusturica (Underground, Time of the Gypsies), Bregovic has been likened to peers Enio Moriconi and Nino Rota, creating unforgettable scores that transcend their medium. Joined by his Wedding and Funeral Orchestra, Bregovic's music marries the dance tunes of a raucous gypsy brass band with traditional Eastern European choral music, all with a rock and roll edge. Creating a live experience so far greater than the sum of its parts, Bregovic's live concerts are symphonic raves, cathartic and delirious.
